Chief Risk Management Officer

Debbie has been in the medical field for over thirty years, with Florida Orthopaedic Institute for twenty-five years and the Chief Administrative Officer of the Facility since 2003 and played a key role in the opening of FOISC’s Citrus Park facility in 2015. Debbie’s responsibilities range from daily management and strategic planning for the successful operation of FOISC to developing successful strategies in bringing awareness and understanding of risk and quality related issues to ensure the highest quality of patient care and patient safety.

A native Floridian, Debbie earned her Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix and her undergraduate degree from the University of South Florida. She has extensive knowledge in workers’ compensation, credentialing, managed care contracting, ASC state licensure and federal requirements as well as accreditation standards. She received her Certified Administrator Surgery Center (CASC) certification in 2007 and has been a Licensed Healthcare Risk Manager (LHRM) since 2009.

Debbie maintains professional affiliations with several prestigious organizations such as The Florida Society of Ambulatory Surgery Centers, Ambulatory Surgery Center Association, Florida Society for Healthcare Risk Management and Patient Safety, Intalere (Amerinet Southeast Alliance), Florida Association Medical Staff Services, and Florida Hospital Association. Debbie currently serves on the Board for The Florida Society of Ambulatory Surgery Centers and Intalere (Amerinet Southeast Alliance).
