Seth I. Gasser, M.D.
Dr. Gasser has been with the Florida Orthopaedic Institute since 1993. He attended the University of Maryland School of Medicine and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1987 as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. Dr. Gasser performed his orthopaedic residency training at the University of Southern California and completed his sports medicine fellowship at the renowned Southern California Center for Sports Medicine. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery in both Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine.
Dr. Gasser is the Vice President and Director of Sports Medicine at the Florida Orthopaedic Institute, President and Medical Director of the Florida Orthopaedic Institute Surgery Center, Affiliate Professor in the Department of Orthopaedics at the University of South Florida, and Adjunct Professor of Exercise Science at the University of Tampa. He presently serves as team physician for the University of Tampa, Berkeley Preparatory School, Tampa Preparatory School and Plant High School. He has also served as team physician for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tampa Bay Lightning, Tampa Bay Storm, Tampa Bay Mutiny, Tampa Bay Rowdies, and the University of South Florida. Dr. Gasser has authored numerous publications in the areas of knee and shoulder surgery. He has lectured at medical conferences on a local, national, and international level, and is actively involved in research with the Foundation for Orthopaedic Research and Education (FORE). He has been voted a prestigious member of the “Best Doctors in America” for 18 consecutive years. Dr. Gasser uses his extensive experience in arthroscopic knee and shoulder surgery, as well as state of the art technology, to best help his patients.
